The Goosey Gander STORY
The Goosey Gander is situated in the backdrop of bustling Vilakazi Street in Orlando West.
As you enjoy our hand-crafted spirits and wine tasting, you can enjoy all the other activities that take place on this historic street of South Africa’s most famous and most visited township.
Where did the name come from? Well, it is derived from the owner’s surname, Goosen and the song that was sung to him by classmates teasing him in primary school. You might have heard the song “Goosey, goosey, gander, where shall I wonder….”
Crafting organic spirits is our passion and we believe that our life experiences have led us to create the most exceptional small-batch spirits.
The Goosey Gander has partnered with local distilleries to produce The Goosey Gander in-house range and resell other local business partner spirits to give you as our valued customer a range of selection of the finest spirits and wines to enjoy.
We invite you to visit our tasting room and indulge in the unique flavours and aromas of The Goosey Gander spirits and partner spirits and wines.
With prior arrangement we can provide a unique experience for your group of friends, family, or colleagues to pair our spirits and wines with food.
We have partnered with Tolokazi Brewery, a wholly black female owned business and that we have also provided a home for local artists to showcase their talent through regular Open Mic Sessions.
